How much does translation cost?
Translation is generally priced per word, and the rate will vary depending on factors like how specialised the text is, the language combination and the amount of research required. I also add a surcharge for rush jobs and out of hours work. Got a project in mind? Get in touch for a free quote.
Do you only translate into English?
Yes. As is standard in the translation industry, I only translate into my native language, English.
Do you only do technical translations?
No. I also work on non-technical content such as commercial, tourism and official documents, but have the required knowledge and experience to enable me to work with highly technical texts such as technical writing, technical drawings and technical standards.
Do you edit translations from languages other than German and Chinese?
I do offer monolingual editing of translations from other languages, but since I do not speak the source language, I will not be able to check for accuracy against the original text. For this reason, I do not edit machine translations from languages other than German and Chinese.
